Layers of my Importance
Fall Formal Poster
MAC AP Scholar Poster

Seeing Sound
Our principal wanted a new poster to honor our school's AP Scholars. I kept my design simplistic with a gradient background and classy text, with a linear design.
One of our main projects this semester was to create a fall formal invitation to an event in support of a charity of our choice. We had to plan the event and the theme it would be centered around. I chose to advertise my benefit by making it look like a ghoul girl had carved all the information into the pumpkin. I made sure to add texture to the pumpkin to create a realistic element.
For this assignment we had to give our interpretation of what sound would look like. We sketched for different scenarios and chose our favorite to elaborate on. I chose to do the conversation between a frog and a bird. I made the frog's sounds thick and large, while i made the bird's small and thin.
The Layers of my Importance poster probably doesn't make much sense to anyone other than me. I included the current picture of me for the image representing me. The photo of my father and me is representative of my inspiration. The image trace of New York in the background is my goals layer. The snowflakes and cinema board are my favorite things. Lastly, the quote on the left side is one of my favorite sayings. This poster as a whole reflects quite a bit of my personality.
We were given this quote and asked to lay it out in a way that presented its true attitude. I sized everything based on importance, and isolated phrases that were key ideas.
We had to design a magazine that centered around things we were interested in, and ourselves. I chose fonts that went with the subject of the articles, and named the magazine "Adventure" because its something I love to do.
I designed this bumper sticker in support of breast cancer. I used "feminine" colors with strong fonts to emphasize that ladies can beat cancer!
This project required us to use random generation to get a band name, album title, and album cover. We had to create a theme with whatever we ended up with.
My portrait is of a musician called lights. To create the portraits we had to isolate shades of color and use personalized stamps on each layer one at a time. Once I finished I touched up by creating a rough outline.
This assignment was by far one of my favorites. It began with a simple bakery logo and evolved into a full set of stationary, merchandise, and a menu. I chose to make my logo a cartoon cinnamon bun and a rolling pin. I used soft colors to make it appear friendly.

Going Small
For this assignment we had to design school spirit themed stamps. I chose to center around the color red and the clubs specific to MacArthur.
Bumper Sticker
One of the board members for our school held a competition to see who could design the best MacArthur sticker. I decided to go very simple with our school colors and a claw mark.
Poster Campaign
For this assignment we had to choose a cause we thought was important and create posters that would engender emotion and the feeling that something needs to be done. I chose dramatic pictures with rought fonts to get my point across.

Copyright Wordle
We took words associated with copyright and and created a though bubble to represent it.

Mr. Blue
We were given an assignment to create a a magazine cover completely centered around blue. It could be literal, emotional. or figurative.

Inspirational quote
We had to come up with a quote to summarize how we wanted our year to go. I chose to put mine on a composition notebook so that it would go with a school theme.
